Mesmerized by the history, the royalty, the romantic guitar ballads, the wild Flamenco dances, the old castles and historical sites everywhere, the culture of the bar pastime, the waste of a lot of good time, which is what every local takes for given.
But in addition to the human charm of the city, the country’s natural beauty is also enviable. In the always sunny, mild climate, the scenery is amazing. A few years ago, the Spanish government announced its list of the seven natural wonders of Spain. Take a break from the cityscape and explore the ridiculously beautiful landscape of the Promised Land.
1. Gazztrugat Island.
At first glance, a castle stands on the deep blue water, a small rocky island off the northern coast. Its castle-like appearance has caused the island to suffer many unexplained attacks in the past. There lived princesses and princes, beasts and beauties, whose lives were disturbed. Now the island quietly changed with time.
A man-made causeway connects the lonely island to the mainland, and people enjoy hiking as winding stone steps lead to the top. Walking on the slender causeway, beneath the foot of the blue water, soft waves against the rocks, ahead is the entrance to the fairy tale.
St. John’s Church at the top of the island is like a crown, giving the island light, heritage and independence.
2. Somido Natural Park.
It is home to a wide variety of forest tree species and wildlife and is designated a UNESCO Biosphere reserve. Four valleys form this treasure trove of precious biological treasures. The rolling valley is home to many animals. Brown bears, wolves, wild boars, golden eagles and so on carry out the natural survival rules here. They live, chase, hunt, meet and separate in daily life, putting on scenes of real natural performances.
Lakes, large and small, scattered across the valley like mirrors, gather flat and silent at the bottom, waiting for creatures to come and drink. In this paradise of wildlife, human beings seem small and ordinary.
3. Gatta Point — Nihar Nature Park.
This is another biosphere reserve and the largest coastal reserve in Spain. Diverse landforms and landscapes bring endless visual enjoyment. There are a large number of plants and animals on the wetland, and the growth of dense and wonderful vegetation.
Spectacular volcanic cliffs can be seen everywhere, the edge of the cliff is steep slope, looking up, only feel their own weak. The cliffs are almost vertical limestone walls of daunting height. Looking at the marks on the wall, it is hard to imagine how spectacular the volcanic eruption was so many years ago.
Wild flowers bloom on the rocks below, and the clear blue water rises and falls silently on the flat sand. This is the coastal lagoon. This calm, shallow water is bathed in white sand. Sitting on the beach, feet on the soft sand, small waves kissing toes, like a paradise, no one bother.
4. Ancient gold mine site of Medras.
This site is a collection of human intelligence and technology and has been recognized as a World Heritage site. Built by the Romans after their conquest of the Iberian Peninsula, they used DAMS and an ingenious system of canals to channel water and pulverize it to wash away the rocks outside the mines.
The story has passed, but the traces remain in this has become a landscape. The hustle and bustle of the past fades away, leaving only the eroded mine to continue to stand here. Groups of mines in the dense and colorful woods like a seat of the appearance of sharp simple art, beautiful posture.
5. Ruidra Natural Park.
The park covers 4,000 hectares and has 15 interconnected lakes that make for spectacular scenery. It is also home to valuable waterfowl and fish that support their normal lives.
The endless park is a huge natural oxygen bar. You don’t have to see every scene. Just walk in it and breathe deeply. A large pure blue lake, a breeze blowing bursts of waves, blowing the surface of the lake, but also with water vapor blowing to visitors.
6. Grand Canyon of Fond.
Spectacular doesn’t even begin to describe the canyon landscape. The interior of the canyon can be reached by a gondola descending from the top of the frighteningly high mountain. This is the land of the brave. This mountain range is covered with deep green dense vegetation and a variety of plants.
Falling down from the sky, in addition to the heart will be some stimulation, but also feel a few silk excitement. Soon, you’ll be mesmerized by what you see, lost in the scenery and forget your fears. Surrounded by high mountains, the canyon seems to have come to a secret other time and space. I can’t get enough of it. I want to live a life of idle clouds and wild cranes here.
7. Catrice Beach.
It is also nicknamed Cathedral Beach. Its rock formations are unusual, resembling vaults and arches in shape. Natural arches crisscross each other, with clear water at the bottom and flat white sand at your feet. The green and blue water flowing through the bottom of the “arch” is very attractive.
Nature’s gifts to us are endless, and Spain is blessed with the rich natural resources of this paradise. After lounging in the sun, hanging out at the bar, and eating good food, take your time to explore nature and witness stunning views.
