How much do you know about American fast food culture?

American fast food culture is one of their important labels. When it comes to American fast food, we have to mention “McDonald’s” and “KFC”. They can be said to be the representative of American fast food, in most countries around the world, you can see the red big M logo and the “kindly” smiling face of Colonel KFC. What about the fast food industry in the United States?In addition to the well-known McDonald’s, KFC and Pizza Hut, there are many other fast food restaurants on American streets, such as DunkinDonuts,BurgerKing, Subway and TocaBell.

Let’s start with KFC and McDonald’s in the United States. After coming to the United States, one of the biggest feelings is that KFC and McDonald’s here are not as popular and common as we thought.

Walk into KFC and McDonald’s in the United States and you will find that the food sold here is very different from that in China. First, there’s the variety: Instead of popular favorites like “New Orleans roasted wings,” “deep-sea cod burgers” and “sweet corn sticks,” you’ll find basic flavors like burgers, chicken nuggets and fries.

Then there’s the size of the food: Perhaps because Americans eat more, the food here, whether it’s burgers, fries or chicken nuggets, comes in larger portions.

It is also interesting to note that in the United States, French fries and chicken nuggets come in all sizes and shapes, as is the case with many Americans. The French fries are as thick as sticks.

In contrast to the relatively monotonous and humble food, KFC and McDonald’s in the United States sell a lot of drinks and desserts. McDonald’s, for example, offers four or five flavors of iced coffee, as well as a variety of fruit smoothies and other beverages in addition to the usual milkshakes.

Finally, the price of iced coffee, which is of interest to a lot of people, for example, a medium iced coffee at McDonald’s in New York City costs more than $2 plus tax. So, let’s just say that the price of food at KFC and McDonald’s is very cheap relative to American income.

DunkinDonuts is a fast food restaurant that started out as a doughnut restaurant and made its name selling dozens of varieties of doughnuts and other desserts. In addition, it also sells a variety of hot and cold drinks and some simple sandwiches and burgers. DunkinDonuts’ donuts are deeply loved by Americans. You can often see children as old as 70 or 80 years old walking out of Dunkindonuts with cardboard boxes full of donuts. But the doughnuts it sells are too sweet for everyone.

Compared with the fried food and high fat of KFC and McDonald’s, rolls and sandwiches sold by Subway are healthier. Customers choose the meats, greens, cheeses and toppings on display in the cupboard to be mixed into cakes or breads. The only fly in the ointment is the bland selection of drinks, with only a handful of basic carbonated and bottled drinks.

Having said so much about American fast food, in conclusion, no matter in terms of nutrition structure or delicious taste, other delicacies are far beyond those produced on the assembly line. American fast food basically can only satisfy people’s desire to “eat”.
